Slowly, but surely!

What do they say? Slow and steady wins the race?

Have managed to get back on track, which is fantastic! Lost 1.7kg over first two weeks, then slacked off for 2 weeks over Easter and gained 600g (which was not too bad I thought I was pretty happy with that). I made an effort to get back on track this week. Mind you, it wasn't a huge effort or anything - did not do a whole lot of exercise and I did not track either but I DID lose 1.2kg which is very motivating indeed! Yippee!

So, that has put me in a pretty good mood - have been feeling a little bit down but shrinking numbers on the scales was a nice surprise! :D

I will get there, the important thing is that I make small changes that stick, keep going to meetings, and I reckon I will get there in the end!

Frustrated over nothing really!

Awww! I had weigh in today and I lost 0.5kg! I was hoping to lose more cause I did exercise this week! And I had bonus points and everything! Damn! Its just that, in the early weeks of weight loss you tend to lose more - and i was hoping to have those first few weeks where you lose a decent amount of weight before it slows down.

Hmmmm. Still need to work on drinking 2 L of water a day though. Sometimes I don't drink enough and that might not be helping.

But yes, I know - no need to be frustrated! A loss is a loss and 1.7kg in a fortnight is pretty good whatever way you look at it. Of course, there are no quick fix solutions. The weight will come off with lifestyle changes, but it is going to take a while!

Ooooh! First Post!

Well, seeing that I have been doing this WW thing for a couple of weeks now - I thought I might make myself (yet ANOTHER!!!) blog. I did not want to post WW related stuff on my regular blog but wanted to make a specific page to track the 'weight loss journey'. Along with the message boards, blogs present a fantastic means with engaging with the WW online community. I have really enjoyed checking out everyone else's blogs so decided to make one of my own. It's fantastic that there are so many people in the same position - at least you know that you are really not going it alone!

I really do not find meetings to be for me - generally I feel nervous and uncomfortable but I hope that I will settle into them. Mainly, its about keeping accountable! LOL So, forums and online support is proving to be very helpful indeed!

Anyway, I have been on the program for a fortnight now - I have my second weigh in tonight! Eeeek! Even though I have been good I always get a little nervous. But, this is going to take me a LONG while and I figure if I stick at this long enough, I am going to get somewhere! The aim is to get my 'mojo' back - piling on the weight does dreadful things to your self esteem so the only thing for it is to get proactive!

So, let's hope that this blog actually gets updated once in a while...
